Robert Benedetto has been a teacher and entertainment industry professional in a career that spans over twenty years. Robert is an honors graduate of Yale University with a combined degree in English and Film. He also holds an M.F.A. in Filmmaking from Yale where he was a Louis B. Mayer fellow.
Robert is a veteran Hollywood screenwriter, and has been a member of the Writers Guild of America West since 1982. His writing credits include both feature films and television. He wrote the theatrical feature, Aloha Summer, starring Tia Carrere. He was a writer for the ABC one-hour drama series, King’s Crossing. In addition, he has served as a story consultant for major Hollywood production companies.
As a teacher and film scholar, Robert is presently a full-time instructor at CCSN, specializing in screenwriting and video production. He served as Director of Programming and Senior Producer for the CineVegas International Film Festival for two years, and is currently on the Advisory Board of the Bangkok Film Festival.
