CRITERIA
The UVF Commission will be reviewing all short films submitted to us. The Commission will be looking for the following criteria in each submitted film:

Length
There is no minimum time limit. For Short Films we prefer films under 60 minutes in length. Feature Films need to be a minimum of 80 minutes.

Format
Mini DV, DVCAM, DVD, Hi8 & Digital Hi8, VHS

SUBMISSION FEE
For each film submitted there will be a $25.00 submission fee (fee may increase in October). If you have already been included in the 2005 October 21st or the 2006 April 2006 Short Film Showcases you only need to pay $15.00 to submit your film. To pay for this fee electronically, click here:

ARTISTIC MERIT & PRODUCTION VALUE
Your film will be compared with all other submissions and scored by the UVF Commission. Each film will be rated on it's artistic merit and production value separately and given an appropriate score. The Commission will also take into consideration, timing and programming. Films will be entered highest score to lowest until our time allocation is met.
